Arlington Memorial Gardens honors fallen American heroes

MT. HEALTHY, OH (FOX19) -

As a way to remind visitors of the real meaning of Memorial Day, Arlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery is holding a special event throughout the weekend.

Beginning Friday through Monday at 3 p.m., a moment of silence will be observed, followed by the playing of Taps.

Organizers ask visitors to pause as well in the special tribute to fallen American soldiers.

In addition, the gardens will also host a kids art contest, a picnic lunch and a memorial balloon release.
