Suspects denied bond, including accused Riverwalk attacker

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Two suspects were denied bond after they are accused to being involved in recent downtown attacks, including one suspect charged with the brutal beatings along the Augusta Riverwalk.

"I'm denying bond and there will be no bond granted today in either of your cases," said Judge Stephen Shepard.

The magistrate judge refused to set bond for Robey Moses and Dominique Hale, the two were extradited from the Newberry County Jail in connection to the recent assaults in the downtown area.

"I feel compelled to find you both dangerous to this community," said Judge Shepard.

Both facing aggravated assault charges, Moses is believed to be the attacker who beat Ashley Solesbee and Wesley Spires along the Riverwalk in downtown Augusta on May 3rd.

"Apparently you demanded money from the victim and then allegedly began beating Mr. Spires with a bat in his head face, arms, chest, and leg," said Shepard.

Deputies are still looking for a third suspect involved in these downtown attacks.

Richmond County deputies held an intense search on Tuesday at Cherry Tree Crossing. Investigators swarmed the area looking for Kevin Richardson who is also believed to be involved in the Riverwalk attack.

However, as for Moses and Hail, they had little to say to the judge who denied them bond, forcing them to stay behind bars with their striped jump suits and shackles.
