RIPLEY COUNTY, IN (FOX19) -

One of the drivers involved in a crash that killed three Ripley County teens was in court on Thursday.

The teen reached a plea deal and admitted to circumstances of reckless driving and reckless homicide.

The teen will spend 90 days at a juvenile detention facility in Muncie, and will be on probation and have his driver's license suspended until he is 21.

According to a police report, the accused teen and the other teen driver involved in the crash, Timothy "Curtis" Bowman, both sped up to run the stop sign at the intersection of CR 850W and Fairground Road on March 7.

Two of the passengers in the charged teen's truck reported that he intentionally sped up to run the stop sign and get through the intersection before Bowman.

Bowman, 17, and two other teens, Samantha Henson, 18, and Jacob Vogel, 18, were killed in the crash. Vogel was a passenger in Bowman's truck, and Henson was a passenger in the other teen's.

All of the teens were leaving an FFA meeting at Hopewell Church.
