20-year-old dies after skateboarding accident

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A 20-year-old has died after a skateboarding accident over the weekend in Anderson Township.

According to the Hamilton County Coroner's Office, David Spyke was riding a skateboard in the 6200 block of Stirrup Road on Saturday afternoon when he fell and hit his head.

Spyke was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. On Monday, he died as a result of his injuries.

Authorities say Spyke was visiting the area at the time of the accident, originally from Anchorage, Alaska.
