HORRY COUNTY, SC – This week's report on "Horry County's Most Wanted" features two more wanted suspects, as well as an update on two suspects who are back behind bars after being featured.
This week, Theo Hayes sat down with Susan Pretsch, a woman who says she is the victim of a bigamist. According to police, 67-year-old Vernon Scoone falsified a death certificate in order to marry Pretsch.
Pretsch says the couple married in March of 2008 and things were going well until some things started to not add up. Pretsch says Scoone told her his former wife died of cancer but mail kept arriving for the woman. She eventually hired a private investigator and found out the truth.
"I'm telling all women; listen to your gut. Listen to what it is telling you. Pursue it until you get the right answer because there is something wrong," says Pretsch.
26-year-old Eric Baxter is wanted for third-degree burglary and malicious damage.
Anthony Adkins, a suspect featured on the Horry County's Most Wanted web page, who was wanted for criminal domestic violence and kidnapping, was arrested on April 28.
On April 11, Theo Hayes featured William Alex Causey on "Horry County's Most Wanted." The 23-year-old man was wanted for assault and battery by mob. The police report describes how he and the brother of the victim allegedly beat him nearly unconscious. It all started over a round of beer at the victim's home in Conway.
On April 30, Causey was located by Horry County Sheriff's deputies and put back behind bars, making him the tenth "Most Wanted" suspect to be captured since the segment began back in January.
