CSRA celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Posted: Updated:

It's Monterrey Mexican Restaurant's biggest night of the year.

"How excited [are we]?" said District Manager Aly. "We are more than ready, since early this morning."

Aly says the last two days have been busy, setting up the tent that houses the live band, and putting the finishing touches on the restaurant in order to accommodate the thousands of people expected to pack the eatery for a true Mexican experience.

"We have all kind of Mexican, authentic meals," said Aly. "We have some specials, tacos, you know for the party."

Customers seem to agree, pouring into the restaurant, and spending tens of thousands of dollars to enjoy the food, margaritas, and fun atmosphere.

"This is my favorite Mexican restaurant," said customer Scott Story. "You need to come down here and check it out. Monterrey is number one."

American consumers are expected to spend millions of dollars across the country at restaurants or putting on their own festivities, and expected to have a good time as well.

"I get excited because it's a great atmosphere to be around," said Dakota Casey, a server. "Everybody is celebrating, happy. So it's great to be around. I like it."
