Patrons evacuated following a fire in a Taylor Mill restaurant - WFXG FOX 54 - News Now

Fire tears through Knuk-N-Futz Restaurant

TAYLOR MILL, KY (FOX19) -

A Taylor Mill restaurant faces heavy repairs after a fire tore through the building.

Knuk-N-Futz Restaurant, located in the 5400 block of Taylor Mill Road, caught fire on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say that between 15 and 20 patrons were in the restaurant when the fire broke out as well as six restaurant employees.

No one was hurt in the blaze.

Fire crews are still investigating the cause of the fire.

The Taylor Mill fire chief tells FOX19 that the restaurant will be closed for a few months as the owners repair damages.

    Richmond County Sheriff's Office confirms a call came in at 3:45 p.m. for an overturned logging truck at intersection of Mike Padgett Highway (Highway 56) and Doug Barnard Pkwy. The Sheriff's Office commented there was no fuel spilled.  No reported injuries at this time. The cause of the overturn is yet to be determined.  We will follow this story as it develops.
