Four Morehouse College students arrested on sex charges

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Four Morehouse College athletes have been arrested on sex charges, according to police.

Malcolm Jamal Frank, Tevin Mgbo and Chukwudi Ndudikwa were arrested on April 11, and Lucien Kidd was arrested on April 15.

According to the incident report, on March 8, Frank, Ndudikwa and Mgbo had non-consensual sex with a woman who was under the influence of an unknown substance.

Ndudikwa and Frank were arrested on rape and aggravated sodomy charges and Mgbo was charged with aggravated sodomy, kidnapping and reckless conduct.

Kidd was charged in a separate incident.

Police said in late March, Kidd held a woman down and raped her as she shouted "no" repeatedly.

Kidd was arrested on one charge of rape.

Frank, Ndudikwa and Mgbo play for the Morehouse men's basketball team. Kidd is a football player.

Neighbors at Ndudikwa's last known address could not believe when CBS Atlanta News told them the disturbing news.

"You just never know what's going to happen," said Mark Evans, who lives down the hall. "You don't expect someone you've seen to be capable of something like that."

No one answered the door at Mgbo's Athens home and neighbors said they were not very familiar with him.

Susie Brown lives across from Frank. She described him as courteous, polite and always willing to help.

Morehouse College released the following statement:

"In March, there were two alleged assault incidents involving Morehouse students. After the information was brought to the attention of campus police, the suspects were identified and arrested. While we cannot speak to specifics of these cases, our policies and procedures call for disciplinary actions against students who violate our code of conduct and the law, up to and including dismissal from the College. Morehouse has a zero tolerance policy related to violence of any kind. Violence is the very antithesis of the Morehouse ethos and the values of a Morehouse Man. Morehouse College police are working with the Fulton County District Attorney's Office and will continue to do so until these cases are resolved."
