Suspect arrested after 2 men shot outside bar

Jonathan Dyer Jonathan Dyer
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police have made an arrest in a double shooting that occurred last week.

Since last week, police have been looking for Jonathan Dyer, 22, in connection with a shooting early April 24 at Melrose Billiards in Berry Hill.

Dyer is facing two charges of attempted criminal homicide.

Police said Dyer got into a verbal fight with victim Jesse Soloman at the bar.

The men were thrown out of the business, but in the parking lot, police said Dyer pulled a .32 caliber pistol out of his car and shot Solomon.

When Solomon's friend, Casey Whitaker, tried to help him, police said Dyer shot him, too.

Solomon was shot in the hip. Whitaker was shot in the arm, severing an artery.

According to arrest records, the victims identified Dyer as the shooter in a photo lineup.
