Suspicious death in Aiken County ruled homicide, body identified

The suspicious body found in Aiken County has been identified as Kevin M. Holder, 37, of Swansea, S.C. Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton says Holder died of a gunshot wound.

Holder's body was found Tuesday afternoon in a wooded area on Hamelin Road, which is 45 miles west of Swansea. Investigators say his body was discovered by the property owner of the land.

The manner of death is being classified as a homicide. The circumstances of his death are still being investigated.
