Driver indicted for hitting OSP trooper

LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -

A driver has been indicted for striking an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper on Interstate 75.

Trooper Brent Hill was struck just south of the SR 123 exit while he was standing outside his vehicle in February.

The driver of the car the struck Hill, Tyler Andrew Combs, 22, of Vandalia, has now been indicted for Vehicular Assault.

According to the indictment, the defendant was operating a vehicle recklessly and caused serious physical harm to an Ohio State Highway Patrol Officer.

Combs remained on the scene and provided a statement to investigators.
