ABBEVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of an Abbeville teenager from what appeared to be a stab wound.

Henry County Coroner Derek Wright said 17-year-old Emmett Tyric Leqwaun Brown was pronounced dead around 1 a.m. Sunday.

Wright tells The Dothan Eagle (http://bit.ly/134HGK5) that at least two others were injured. Authorities say their injuries did not appear life threatening.

Abbeville police Sgt. Eric Duhaime said an investigation was ongoing Sunday into what occurred.

No other details, including whether or not a suspect was in custody, were immediately released.

Wright said Brown's body was expected to be taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
