Man shot in the neck on Benwood

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police were called to 14515 Benwood Avenue for a male bleeding from the neck.

It happened just after 2 a.m. Saturday.

The victim, 32-year-old Damien Williams told police he was getting out of his vehicle at his home when he felt something hit his neck.  He went inside and noticed blood on his neck.

EMS responded and it was determined the wound was a gunshot wound.  They transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.

Williams told police he didn't hear a shot or see a suspect.

The Cleveland Division of Police is asking that anyone with information in connection with this incident to contact the Fourth District Detective Bureau at 216-623-5418.
