Richmond County Sheriff's Investigator Michael Dodaro has resigned from his position following a DUI arrest.
Officials say Dodaro submitted his letter of resignation around 8:30 Monday morning. The resignation comes ahead of the completion of the internal investigation being conducted on Dodaro.
A Richmond County investigator has been arrested after being charged with DUI.
Officials with the Sheriff's Office tell FOX54, investigator Michael Dodaro was arrested this morning after driving under the influence in a county issued vehicle.
Dodaro was with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division. Officials say the vehicle was damaged during the incident. Dodaro has been placed on suspension pending the outcome of an Internal Investigation. He's been with the Sheriff's Office since February 2003.
