VALLEY, AL (WTVM) -
The FBI and Valley police are on the hunt for four armed suspects who robbed a bank Tuesday morning on Fob James Parkway.
News Leader 9's Elizabeth White had the first camera on the scene - shortly after the men stormed the building.
Police say a car pulled up in front of the Chattahoochee Federal Credit Union around 10 Tuesday morning. The driver stayed behind the wheel as 3 men jumped out of the car and stormed the front doors.
"There were three subjects entered the bank one was carrying a hand gun they were dressed in all black, they wore black masks gloves and fatigues," said Chief Tommy Weldon with the Valley Police Department.
Three customers and bank employees were inside the store during the bank robbery. Witnesses reported three of the suspects were black and one was white.
"No shots were fired, one of the employees was pushed down, but there were no injuries."
After grabbing money from the teller's bank drawers, the men ran outside and sped away.
"One of our officers located the get-away car… it was parked behind the holiday inn express not far from here."
The vehicle is a white, Oldsmobile Sierra with Georgia tags, reported stolen around 5:45 Tuesday morning from Dekalb County.
Police say the car was still running when they located it and a back window had been busted out.
The FBI was called in to help investigate and together with Valley police, agents are watching surveillance video from the bank and surrounding businesses to try and determine better descriptions of the suspects and a possible second getaway car used in the robbery.
Chief Weldon says he does plan on releasing the video or at least
stills of it to the news media once investigators have had a chance to review
