Springfield mother recovering after being struck by an SUV Tuesday morning

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

A young mother is recovering after being struck by an SUV while dropping her son off at daycare in Springfield's North End Tuesday morning according to our media partner, Masslive and the Republican.

The incident happened just before 8:30 a.m. when the woman, who is unidentified at this time, stepped out of her car in front of the Children and Family Center on Main Street.

According to police her injuries are serious but do not appear to be life-threatening.
