WSFA 12 News named "2012 Alabama Station of the Year" by ABA

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

On Saturday March 23, 2012 WSFA 12 News received 2 awards including, "Alabama Station of the Year" and "Best Regularly Scheduled Newscast" at the seventh annual ABBY award ceremony presented by the Alabama Broadcasters Association. 

This is the 2nd time WSFA 12 News has won the Alabama Station of the Year Award in the past 3 years, having won previously in 2010. 

WSFA 12 News competed against all Alabama stations in these award categories from the Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Dothan and Mobile markets. 

Upon receiving the awards Vice President/General Manager Collin R. Gaston commented, "I am honored to accept these awards as it recognizes the tireless effort and dedication of a wonderfully talented group of individuals at WSFA 12 News. We take great pride in representing the highest standards of our industry to the viewing public."
