Augusta welcomes first city-wide event at Tee Center

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is proud to welcome the 2013 Mary Kay Career Conference, March 22-24, 2013. The conference is the first city-wide booking in Augusta's new Trade, Exhibit and Events (TEE) Center. With 2,600 attendees, the conference will utilize at least five area hotels.

"We are very excited to welcome the first city-wide booking to the TEE Center," said Barry White, the Augusta CVB's President and CEO. "The center was built to accommodate large groups that will fill multiple hotels throughout the city and utilize the center for a large general session."

Prior to the construction of the TEE Center, there was no place in Augusta for large groups to meet in one room with flexible seating options. "It's great to have a group here that is taking full advantage of the new facility," said White.

The Mary Kay Career Conference is a regional event drawing Mary Kay representatives from across the Southeast. The conference is for registered attendees only and is not open to the public.
