HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A 40-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after he was stabbed in the neck with a screwdriver.

It happened at the Thirsty Turtle on Whitesburg Drive around 4:15 p.m. Sunday.

Witnesses say a man walked into the bar and stabbed a customer in the neck with a screwdriver.

Huntsville Police arrested Eric Daniel after a short foot chase. Daniel is charged with assault.

Police say the victim did not know Daniel. Investigators do not know what prompted the attack.

The victim is expected to be okay.
