Two people behind bars following a stand off in Burke County Wednesday night.
Paul Fontenot and Hanu Yi were both booked by the Burke County Sheriff's Office and are facing charges in Burke and Jefferson Counties.
Deputies tell FOX54 the received a call from Jefferson County investigators around 5:30 Wednesday about issuing a warrant for Fontenot in Burke County in reference to aggravated assault. Officials say Fontenot severely beat another person on March 15 in Wadley, GA.
When deputies arrived to the home to serve the warrant, Hanu Yi, described as the suspect's girlfriend, would not open the door. Deputies were later informed she was also involved in the beating on March 15 and had outstanding warrants for that incident.
After hours of being locked in the home with several law enforcement agencies and the Richmond County SWAT team posted outside, both were arrested.
Two children were in the home at the time of the incident and were taken to a family member's home.
Fontenot and Yi are facing charges.

Burke County deputies are on the scene of an unknown location where they are trying to serve a search warrant.
Officials told FOX54 that the man is wanted out of Jefferson County. A Richmond County SWAT team has been called in to assist.
Deputies are trying to reach the suspect peacefully.
