AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -
Georgia Regents University received $50 million to renovate the school's old College of Dental Medicine building. The 40-year-old building will be used for administrative functions for clinics as well as the school.
The Digestive Health Center will get $10 million of that grant to renovate the mostly vacant second floor for a new facility.
"This is very good," said Dr. Satish Rao, Chief of Gastroenterology. "Number one from a patient's
perspective, because a patient has to come to only one place to get
their digestive care."
Dr. Rao said they plan to move to the new building in a year.
