Monroe County man tied up and assaulted as home was robbed

MONROE COUNTY, MI (Toledo News Now) -

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is reporting an armed robbery in Berlin Township.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery and home invasion at the Americana Trailer Park on Telegraph Road in Flat Rock, Michigan.

Investigations reveal a 40-year-old man was at home when two men entered his trailer, tied his hands behind his back, and assaulted him with a knife.

The thieves stole a big screen TV, electronics and computer equipment, and prescription medication.

The incident is currently under investigation.
