AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

In conjunction with Hack Augusta and SmartKids.sc, volunteers have been working behind the scenes for the past four months to provide resources and technology to underserved communities in the CSRA. Sponsors of the project include Rural Sourcing Inc and WOW!

Hack Augusta created the Lighthouse project to provide free open wireless network in neighborhoods to improve access to online STEM and Continuing education resources for kids and adults.

Included, will be public technology demonstrations to commemorate the launch at 606 Crawford Ave. City officials, sponsors, volunteers and members of theClubhou.se will be in attendance.

TheClubhou.se is a co-working and collaborate work space in downtown Augusta that opened in December 2012.  It supports members of the technology, start-up and new media community.
