PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A 3-year-old girl was found in a backyard pool and pulled out by her mother, according to a Phoenix Fire Department spokesman.

Spokesman Tony Mure says this happened just before 6 p.m. near 55th Avenue and Thomas.

This was a backyard pool party and barbeque with seven other kids.

He said the parents lost track of the girl for a few minutes as they were getting the other kids out of the pool and drying them off.

The girl's mother pulled her out and started doing CPR until crews arrived.
