AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -
UPDATE: Deputies have identified the victim in a Sunday shooting. Officials say Darius Vontrell Cobb was shot along the 200 Block of East Boundary.
Cobb was shot twice, once to the right side of his buttocks and the other on
his right ring finger. He was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Cobb was very uncooperative
with investigators and refused to assist in the investigation.
ORIGINAL STORY:
One person was rushed to the hospital following a shooting near downtown Augusta, according to Richmond County Dispatch.
The shooting happened at the corner of East Boundary and Greene Street about 2 p.m. Sunday.
We don't know how serious the injuries of the hospitalized person are or what caused the shooting yet.
Dispatch says they do not have a shooter in custody.
