Holyoke police arrest suspect allegedly involved in Dairy Mart armed robbery

HOLYOKE, MA (WSHM) -

Holyoke Police Chief James Neiswanger announced the arrest of Luis Torres, which took place Friday at 9:02 a.m.

Torres was arrested at the Holyoke District Court, while he was there for a separate matter.

Torres was wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a Dairy Mart located at 1552 Dwight St. in Holyoke in which a handgun was shown.

Neiswanger acknowledged the dedication, hard work, professionalism and cooperative nature of the Holyoke Police Department Patrol Officers, Holyoke Police Department Criminal Investigation Bureau, Holyoke Police Department Narcotics/Vice Division, Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension West Team and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

The combined efforts of these officers helped in the arrest.
