PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A father and his adult son were killed during what police say was a violent home invasion in Phoenix early Friday morning, and police are still looking for the suspects.

The men, 46-year-old Ulises Ocampo and 21-year-old Parish Ocampo, were shot to death inside the home near 18th and Adams streets just before 2:30 a.m., according to Sgt. Tommy Thompson of the Phoenix Police Department.

Two family members were also in the home but were not hurt, and the suspect fled without taking anything.

Thompson said police are looking for two suspects.

The first is a black man, 6'2" tall, 230 pounds, wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt, jeans and a bandana over his face.

The second suspect is a black man, 6' tall, 200 pounds, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black pants and a ski mask covering his head.

Both suspects were carrying handguns.

Rosen said multiple shots were fired throughout the house after the suspects forced entry through a back door, and the victims were found in separate areas of the house.

The founder of the Aguila Youth Leadership Institute in Phoenix, Rosemary Ybarra-Hernandez, said she knew one of the victims, Parish Ocampo, for six years. The institute is a college access program that supports the college planning process for young men and women.

Ybarra-Hernandez said he graduated from Arcadia High School, was paying his way through college and volunteered at the Aguila Youth Leadership Institute. He had just come to visit last week about starting his own scholarship fund, according to Ybarra-Hernandez.

"He was a funny sort of guy, he wanted to be a French businessman in France one day," she said. "Parish may not have been a young man of means but he had incredible heart."

Yberra-Hernandez told CBS 5 News that Ocampo Parish was her first student to get his Social Security number through deferred action.

She spoke with his family Sunday night and said his mom is still in shock.

"There are hardly any words that she can speak. Her boy, her wonderful boy," she said.

She said members and their families of the institute donated $1,300 to the family to help pay for final expenses and they are planning a candlelight vigil.
