CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Clarksville police say a woman suspected of driving under the influence sideswiped a patrol car before crashing head-on into a parked tow truck.
Mandy May, 29, of Clarksville, is accused of striking the patrol car, which had its emergency lights running, as she exited a parking lot near the scene of an unrelated wreck Wednesday about 9:30 p.m. on Tiny Town Road near Peachers Mill Road.
Her vehicle then collided into a wrecker truck that had responded to the first wreck.
An officer checked on May and reported she had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and smelled like alcohol.
May faces charges, including DUI, and was jailed on $2,000 bond.
