Comcast layoffs on the way in Augusta

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Comcast's Augusta call center will lay off 79 employees. A news release confirms the employees will be let go between May 3 and May 16 from the River Shoals Parkway location.

Officials tell FOX54 they will work the affected employees to find other opportunities for them with the company or offer severance opportunities.
