Aiken officers searching for armed and dangerous suspect - WFXG FOX54 Augusta - Your News One Hour Earlier

Aiken Public Safety is asking for the community's help in finding an armed and dangerous man. Marrio Sherard Parker, of Aiken, is wanted by ADPS for escape, weapon, and drug charges.

Parker was stopped for speeding on Whiskey Road and arrested after the officer smelled marijuana. After searching the suspect's vehicle, officers found a pistol under the seat.

While escorting Parker to the patrol vehicle he was able to resist officers and fled the area on foot. Officers searched the area but could not find Parker. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information related to the incident or the whereabouts of Parker is asked to contact Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6374).  Callers will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
