Many elementary and middle school students would probably choose to spend their Saturday mornings relaxing on the
couch.
But that wasn't the case for dozens of students who
showed up to compete in a youth Olympic Challenger race Saturday morning.
The only requirement for students who wanted to take a
shot at the mile long obstacle course was to wear fun, colorful socks.
Men and women champions DJ Jackson and
Anisha Harilal say the course was far from easy.
"Tired, it makes you feel awesome though once
you finish it, you feel relieved that it's over," said Jackson and
Harilal.
The event will help the Harlem Middle Running Club keep
running; they raised $100 at the event.
