Richmond County deputy involved in wreck

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

A deputy from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office was involved in a traffic crash with another deputy Friday night around 7:35.

The other deputy involved was from the Habersham County Sheriff's Office.

The two deputies were part of the Operation Thunder checkpoint operation.

The RCSO deputy, who remains unnamed, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
