Driver airlifted to hospital after crash on Washington Road

EVANS, GA (WFXG) -

The driver of a vehicle was airlifted to Georgia Regents Medical Center following a two vehicle crash on Washington Road in Columbia County.

Ashley Ransom, 32, was driving her Nissan Quest westbound on Washington Road when she stopped to turn left onto Blanchard Road, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

Ransom was struck from behind by a Honda Civic being driven by James Hall, 32.

Ransom was airlifted to Georgia Regents Medical Center, where she is in critical condition, according to hospital officials.

Hall is charged with "following too close."

Driver airlifted to hospital after crash on Washington Road
