20 charged after heroin and crack bust in OTR

The FBI, the US Attorney and local law enforcement have announced federal charges have been filed against 20 alleged members of a Cincinnati drug trafficking organization.

Eighteen of the suspects have been indicted on trafficking and drug charges. Seventeen are in custody, and three are still on the run.

Cincinnati Police and FBI agents were serving search warrants at a residence on East Clifton Avenue in Over the Rhine on Friday morning.

Investigators say the warrants stem from a long term narcotics investigation.

Those indicted include Demico Higgins, 32; Brien Champion, 29; Eric Brock, 31; Antonio Montgomery, 27; Frederick Bastin, 50; Damian Finnerson, 23; Yolanda Rembert, 42; Shawniece Grant-Cavins, 21; McKinley Barnwell, 60; Shantez Rembert, 21; Frederick Benton, 38; Casey Brock, 28; Eric Gunn, 21; Ralph Evans, 21; Dwayne Finnerson, 30; Sholanda Rembert, 25; and Martha Clark, 19. Complaints were also filed against Mario Harris, 27 and Tonya Jackson, 31. All suspects are from Cincinnati.

All are charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin and crack cocaine, a crime punishable by at least ten years and up to life in prison.

Eric Gunn, Eric Brock and Casey Brock are still on the run.

The Brock brothers are believed to be driving a black Honda Accord with tinted windows with Ohio license plate FNW 8583.

If you see any of these suspects, call police immediately, but do not approach them.
