Augusta Convention Center unveiled with ribbon cutting

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The newly opened Augusta Convention Center celebrated its unveiling with a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday evening.

Officials with the City of Augusta were on hand to celebrate. The project took many years and millions of dollars to finally get to this moment.

City Administrator Fred Russell also noted that the project came in under budget.
