Massillon woman dies after being hit by car

MASSILLON, OH (WOIO) -

Neivada Toland, 24, of Massillon died from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash that occurred on February 25, 2013 at approximately 9:55 PM.

Toland was walking on her way home from work at the Massillon McDonalds when she was struck on SR172 in Tuscarawas Township, by a 2000 Chrysler 300 driven by Lynell A. Harris, age 42 of North Lawrence.

Toland was transported from the scene to Affinity Hospital in Massillon, and she was later transferred to Aultman Hospital in Canton.

Toland died from her injuries the next day.

The crash remains under investigation.
