Investigators searching for shoplifting suspect

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect accused of shoplifting from the Buy Buy Baby store on Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway.

Investigators said that the suspect entered the store on Friday around 9:40am. The suspect is described by investigators as a heavy set Black female, wearing a white tank top, gray sweat pants, and white tennis shoes.

The suspect allegedly grabbed a Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bag valued at $170 and left the scene.

Anyone with information identifying the female suspect is asked to notify the Richmond County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division at 706-821-1020.
