CBS 3 media partner Mass Live and The Republican has reported that a body found along the Connecticut River on Friday was 33-year-old Shawn Dunson.
Dunson had been missing since Feb. 3.
His sister told the paper that authorities are treating the case as a homicide; however, Springfield police have not confirmed that information.
Dunson lived in West Springfield and was a father to twin 7-year-old girls.
A body was found at about 2:30 p.m. on Friday just south of the South End bridge.
