Dog saved from burning house overnight

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A family dog was rescued from a house fire early Sunday morning.

Firefighters were called to a home on Park Street in North Toledo around 10 p.m., Saturday night.

According to the Battalion Chief, it took crews until 3 a.m. to get the flames under control.

The residents were not home at the time.

Investigators say the fire started in the back of the house, and the porch was heavily damaged.

An arson investigator is expected to review the scene.
