COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Some local high school students got a chance to meet with future employers on Friday.

A Precision Machine Job Fair was held at Colerain High School.

Fifty Colerain juniors and seniors spend three hours per day learning the trade of precision machining. Field experts say jobs right out of high school pay between $14 - $16 an hour.

The students got to meet and greet with prospective employers from several different companies at the job fair.

"During the election, I heard both candidates always talking about advance manufacturing and that's what we do.  It's a highly precision type of cutting on metal, and we're producing a lot of great kids here at Colerain High School," said Dave Fox, a teacher at Colerain High School.

Fox went on to add that someone working their first year in the field can expect salary pay ranging from $45,000-$50,000.
