CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) -
A Chinese middle school choir that won gold during the 2012 World Choir Games is making their way back to Cincinnati on Thursday.
The Wenhui Middle School Choir from Beijing, China is coming
to the Queen City to perform with SCPA World Choir Games awardees for a concert.
The Wenhui
students won a gold medal in the Children's Division of the 2012 World Choir Games, hosted in
Cincinnati. The choir, consisting of 40 students, ages 12 and 13, is performing in an international music tour, with stops in Honolulu, Los Angeles, as well as Cincinnati.
The concert of international music is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Patricia Corbett Theatre in UC's College-Conservatory of Music.
Local groups performing alongside the Wenhui Choir include the SCPA Chorale, who won the Youth Mixed Choir Open Division at
the 2012 World Choir Competition, in addition to the SCPA
Children's Choir, SCPA's jazz a cappella group Meridian 8, the Advanced Junior
High Choir, Baby Grands, Tremelo, J1, Children's Choir, and Women's Ensemble.

Proceeds from the performance support the SCPA Choir performance tour of China
