Julia Ann Baitmon/Source: RCSOAUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -
Julia Ann Baitmon was arrested Tuesday accused of beating a friend's child with a plastic bat.
The investigation began after the Richmond County Sheriff's
Office received a call from the mother of the child.
According to
an incident report, the mother had asked Baitmon to watch her children
for a few days. When Baitmon returned the children, the mother noticed
her 6 year old walking with a limp. After
questioning her son, the son told his mom he had been
spanked by Baitman with a plastic bat.
The victim had welt marks along his leg and buttocks. Investigators were called to the scene and the six year old was
transported to the hospital for treatment.
Baitmon was arrested at her residence without incident.
