AGAWAM, MA (WSHM) -

On the heels of an extremely successful 2012 season, Six Flags New England is gearing up for a monumental year in 2013. Today, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation announced record financial results for 2012, reporting $1.1 billion of annual revenue.

"We are extremely proud of our company's success and thrilled about the upcoming season here at Six Flags New England," said John Winkler, park president. "Six Flags New England is the premier thrill attraction in the northeast with more rides, slides and shows than any theme park in New England. 2013 will be a banner year for Six Flags New England with the addition of Bonzai Pipelines to Hurricane Harbor, New England's largest water park."

Six Flags New England will begin a hiring spree to staff more than 3,000 seasonal positions required to operate the theme park and water park. Applications are being accepted online at sixflagsjobs.com.

This summer, Hurricane Harbor will debut Bonzai Pipelines, the ultimate in water park that thrills featuring six looping slides set atop a 75-foot tower. After reaching the top of the six-story structure, guests will step into the state-of-the-art "DrenalineDrop" launching capsule where the floor drops out beneath them, sending them free-falling down the slide, twisting and turning before landing in a splash runout. Riders will surf the 257-foot slide at up to 40 mph. Bonzai Pipeline's unique clear launching tubes allow spectators to be a part of the adrenaline-pumping action.

Six Flags New England will kick off its 2013 season on Saturday, April 13. Visit sixflags.com for dates and times.

2013 Season Passes are on sale for $54.99, which is the same price as a one-day ticket when purchasing four or more. Guest purchasing four or more passes will also receive one free Season Parking Pass.
