Firefighters respond to Walton Way home three times in three days

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Augusta Fire Crews were in a familiar spot again Monday.

They were responding to a home on the 2300 block of Walton Way for a third time in three days.

On Saturday night, homeowners called about a fire that started in the attic.

The next morning, firefighters were called out again after the fire restarted.

Then, Monday afternoon, crews were back on the scene after it had re-ignited.

Luckily, no one was hurt at any point, but homeowners are frustrated.

"I received a phone call from my son that said, 'Mom, you're not going to believe this. Our house is on fire again.' and I was astonished," says Michelle Rossbrook, the mother of one of the home's six residents. "I was like, you're kidding me. This will be the third day in a row you've called to tell me the house is on fire. He said, 'No, I'm not kidding you. The house is on fire again.'"

Richmond Co. Deputies closed off a section of the road for several hours Sunday and Monday, causing traffic to slow down near the area.
