Benefit being held to raise money for Newtown first responders

HAMDEN, CT (WFSB) -

A benefit event is being held Sunday to raise money for the first responders of Newtown.

It's happening at the Playwright Irish Pub in Hamden from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The benefit will include live Irish music, a disc jockey and food.

Event organizers said admission is in the form of a free will donation.

All of the proceeds will be donated to Newtown first responders.
