EAST WALNUT HILLS, OH (FOX19) -
Students of Purcell Marian High School and their families delivered a petition to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati on Friday in support of Mike Moroski.
Moroski, the former dean of students and assistant principal, was fired earlier this week over comments he made on his personal blog in support of gay marriage.
Employees of the Catholic schools sign a document stating that they will act in conformity with Catholic Church doctrine.
The decision to fire Moroski was made by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, which has not commented on the matter.
The petition has over 7,500 signatures.
The newly formed group 'Moroski Advocates for Human Equality' is made up of Moeller High School alumni and community members who support both freedom of expression and human equality. Moroski worked at Moeller for 10 years before coming to Purcell Marian.
