Investigators seize marijuana plants, equipment from Burke County home

BURKE COUNTY, GA (WFXG) -

Investigators with the Burke County Sheriff's Office have seized marijuana plants and other materials to grow marijuana from a Burke County home.

Calls came into investigators on Wednesday about something "suspicious" going on at a home located at 385 Jack Delaigel Road, according to investigators.

Investigators initiated a "knock and talk" and gained permission to search the property.

While searching, investigators located a small shed on the property with a large air conditioning unit attached.

When investigators approached the area, they reportedly smelled marijuana.

Investigators found marijuana plants in various stages of growth. They also found chemicals and other lights and materials related to growing marijuana.

In total, investigators seized 155 plants and all equipment related to marijuana growing. They also arrested Robert Tillman, who is the only suspect charged in relation to the growing operation.

The street value of the plants and equipment that were seized is $385,000.
