Robber strikes local convenience store

HEPHZIBAH, GA (WFXG) -

Investigators in Richmond County are on the lookout for a man that robbed a Hephzibah store at gun point.

Deputies were called out to McTeer's Food Mart on Windsor Spring Road Wednesday night. The suspect was wearing a ski mask and carrying a gun when he entered the store. He went behind the counter while pointing a gun at the clerk and demanded he open the register.  

The suspect made off with some money and several packs of Newport Cigarettes. He ran from the scene toward Travis Road.  If you have any information about this incident, call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at 706.821.1020.
