Girl Scouts bring local seniors Valentine's Day treat

NORTH AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -

An area Girl Scout troop delivered a Valentine's Day treat to local seniors.

On Wednesday, a Daisy Troop based in North Avondale visited the Victoria Retirement Community on Sherman Avenue. The girls delivered homemade Valentines to residents.

What about the Thin Mints, Tagalongs and Samoas? Not too worry. The troop brought about 40 boxes of cookies for the seniors, as well.

The kindergarten and first grade girls collected donations for the nursing home delivery since the start of cookie sales in January.
