One wounded in north Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police are investigating after a person was shot Friday evening in an attempted robbery near some businesses in north Nashville.

The shooting was reported about 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Ewing Drive near Dickerson Pike.

Investigators said the victim was transported in a passenger vehicle to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after the shooting in a parking lot.

The three suspects were wearing masks and were last seen riding in a maroon vehicle with tinted windows.

No other information has been released.
